Small Solids

During science we have been learning about solids and liquids. We know that solids stay the same shape and size unless you do something to them. We know that liquids take the shape of whatever container they are in.
Today, we explored small solids. It was interesting to see how they seemed to act like liquids at times. After further investigation, we discovered that they were really all small solid particles.

Everyday Math Explorations

This week in Math we had an Exploration Day. We participated in three different stations and worked with comparing numbers, weighing objects with a pan scale, and counting large numbers of pennies. What a fun way to practice our math skills!
