Fifth Grade Buddy Farewell

Thanks to our fifth grade buddies for being great role models and bucket fillers this year!

It was fun to spend time together today making a picture frame and having an Icy treat. Good luck at Wisconsin Hills-we will miss you!

Homemade Soil

Yesterday, we made homemade soil. We added pebbles, gravel, sand and silt. We also found out what humus was. Humas is made up of decayed plants and animals. Humus is in soil too! Today we separated our soil with screens, but we were left with a container that had a sand mixture in it. We put it into a vial, added water and we were able to separate it into different layers containing the humus, silt and sand. It was so cool!

Surprise! Thank You Mrs. Kershasky!

We kept it a secret! Mrs. Warner and Mrs. Atols brought a cake in to celebrate Mrs. Kershasky being our teacher for the past three months. Her last day is Friday, but we wanted to start the week our with a celebration. Thanks for helping us learn and grow Mrs. Kershasky!
