Surprise! It's Mrs. Atols and Evan!

We had two very special visitors come by right after lunch today for a quick visit. We got to see Mrs. Atols, and we got to meet Evan. He slept the whole time he was here! He sure is cute!

Arranging Rocks

Today we read a story about a boy named Peter who had a rock collection. He arranged his rocks a lot of different ways, then we got to do the same. We found out you can arrange rocks by their color, shape, size and even how rough or smooth they are.

Make sure you are creating your own rock collection at home, and start bringing those collections in!

High Interest Day reading break

Because our room was ready for one of the classes, Mrs. Kershasky let us read anywhere we wanted in the room. We even got to lay on our tummies or backs to be super comfortable! We read for a long time (20 minutes) because we were so comfy!

High Interest Day

We had so much fun on High Interest Day! Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped us have such a great day!

Congratulations Mrs. Warner!!

Congratulations to Mrs. Warner who won the local intermediate Barnes and Noble "My Favorite Teacher" award. A former student, who is now in 7th grade, wrote an essay about why Mrs. Warner was her favorite teacher. Thank you, Mrs. Warner, for your love of teaching!

Fractions

Today we got to explore all different kinds of fractions. We did one whole, halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, and even sixteenths! It was so fun playing and matching up all the different fractions that could go together to make one whole!
