Winter Party

We had a wonderful time at our Winter Party! We played pin the hat on the snowman and a snowball toss game. For our craft we made an adorable snowman that shows the temperature. We also ate lots of great treats. Thank you to all of the parents who helped out! (Check out our crazy hats and hair too!)

Blankets for the Sojourner Truth House

Today, we worked with our fifth grade buddies to make almost 30 blankets for the people at the Sojourner Truth House. The Sojourner Truth House is a community resource and day shelter in Milwaukee for homeless and at-risk women and children. Thank you to everyone who donated fabric, let us use your scissors and helped with the project. We enjoyed spending time with our buddies and it felt great knowing we were helping others!

Beginning and Ending Sound Dominos

During word study, we played a challenging new game. You had to make a "train" of cards as long as possible. The only way you could connect cards was to match the last sound of card one to the first sound of card two.
